Katy Rogers

Title: Stack the deck in your own favor: eating for nourishment.

Katy Rogers is a farmer and advocate who has worked in agriculture and the food system from soil to plate. As a child in the midwest, she grew up witnessing up close the loss of small farms at the expense of the public and the environment. It was in 2011, when she began her own farm and started her first Community Supported Agriculture program that she dove into advocacy for the hungry and helped build a not-for-profit in the southeast that is still working to facilitate access to healthy, culturally appropriate food. Transitioning from conventional to ecologically based methodology has given her a broad understanding of the food system in the US. The last 14 years she has focused on increasing access to nutritious food and improving systems for human and environmental health through farming, education, and advocacy. She is currently the Director of Teter Retreat and Organic Farm in Noblesville whose mission is to increase access to nourishing food for the vulnerable, provide ecological education, and build community.esidency program director who professionally pivoted in 2024 to left her academic career to start her own limited-scope primary care micropractice, Niche Medical & Consulting. As a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and Menopause Society Certified Provider, Dr. Fick is passionate about shifting the conversation about healthcare to one truly focused on disease prevention, longevity, and metabolic health. She is an internationally known medical educator and speaker regarding physician wellbeing and helping others on their journey towards thriving.
